The power factor is a measure of how efficiently electrical power is consumed. If your system uses more power that it needs (in other words, more power is needed to do the same work) the power factor will be low. Optimal power factor is referred to as ‘unity’.

Power factor equipment is a low-cost way to optimize your power distribution system and bring it back to unity. It also has the additional benefit of reducing your carbon emissions.
