Instrument Calibration

RB Marine engineers have the specialist expertise to test, calibrate and repair all types of hand-held multi-meters, panel meters, pressure gauges and other electrical instruments. Using the latest diagnostic equipment and software, our engineers can calibrate sensors, probes, meters, etc. All Instrument Calibration will be issued a full report and relevant certification, typically covering for 1-year from date of issue.

If diagnostic testing of the instrument reveals issues that can be rectified, our engineers will repair and return it to full working condition, within calibration tolerances.

Portable or remote calibration and repair available

RB Marine engineers can visit your location to carry out onboard calibration of instruments. This enables calibration and repair to be carried out during port and turn-around days. Alternatively, instruments can be sent to one of our specialist calibration locations, where they will be serviced in a controlled laboratory environment, ensuring the highest standard of calibration.

Calibration for a wide range of instruments

At RB Marine, our engineers are able to calibrate and repair the following instruments:

Insulation Testers Up To 1000v: Any type of insulation, continuity and resistance (IR) tester can be calibrated and repaired, up to and including 1kV

Digital Multi-Meter : Digital multi-meter and multi-function testers can be calibrated and certified.

Analogue Multi-Meters: Analogue multi-meter and multi-function testers can be calibrated and certified. 

Temperature Meters: Any type of temperature meter including dial, filled systems, probes, transmitters, thermistors and thermocouples can be calibrated and repaired.

Panel Meters, KVAR, KW: Panel-mounted meters that require high accuracy, can be calibrated and repaired on-site by one of our specialist engineers. 

Pressure testers: Our engineers can calibrate and repair a range of pressure testers including absolute, capillary, differential, gauges, indicators, switches, transmitters.

Hioki Power Loggers: Our engineers can calibrate and repair the Hioki Power Logger range of equipment.
